Xbox 1.6 Motherboard Installation Photos

Based on the excellent work of those at OZXodus we have been able to install a chip on the 1.6 motherboard.  I thought it might be worthwhile to post some photos of the completed installation.  The same colors of wire were used as in their Xenium directions to make this as straight forward as possible.

This photo shows 30AWG wire providing the appropriate feeds to the LPC Port (bottom of the board) This enables the LPC port and the header pins (top of board not shown) become available to any 1.2-1.5 capable modchip running a 1.6 bios.  (never install a chip with a 1.2-1.5 bios thinking you will flash later, it will fry the 1.6 board)

This installation was accomplished using the M8_16.bin bios installed on an Aladdin advance plus.  The D0 wire was hard wired to ground so the chip is in an always on state.  The Alladin Plus hard drive LED and chip enable disable via the power button features do not work with the 1.6 board (at least as I know how to wire it) but the chip itself functions fine.  From my research it seems, to be able to disable the modchip properly both the D0 wire and Lad 1 (Yellow wire) will need to be made/broken using a DPDT switch.  Sounds simple enough, I hope to give it a try soon.
